Free online HSI image channels extractor. Just drag and drop your image here and it will automatically show its hue, saturation, and intensity channels. You can isolate any HSI channel you need using the corresponding checkbox in the options. You can also isolate several channels at the same time and optionally turn them into monochrome. This tool isolates the channels of the HSI color space for any image. HSI is a color model that separates color components into three distinct attributes: hue, saturation, and intensity. The hue component represents pure color information, essentially the color itself. Hue is measured in degrees around the color wheel, with red, green, and blue hues at 0°, 120°, and 240°, respectively. The saturation channel measures the purity of color, with high saturation indicating very vivid colors and low saturation indicating muted colors. The intensity component determines the brightness or darkness of a color, with high intensity being bright and low intensity being dark. You can isolate each of these HSI channels from any input image. The extracted channel can be examined in its original form or converted into grayscale. Image-abulous!

In this example, we isolate the saturation channel. We input an image of a beautiful landscape featuring a majestic rock and its reflection in calm water. After processing with the tool, we obtain an output representation of saturation, where more saturated colors are depicted in shades of red, and less saturated colors are represented in shades of white. In this example, we input an image of an endearing golden retriever adorned with a red cap. The tool returns three separate images, each corresponding to one of the HSI channels: hue, saturation, and intensity. This enables us to explore and visualize how each channel contributes to the overall appearance of the image. (Source: Pexels.)
This example activates the "Create a Monochrome HSI" option for an image of red poppies. The program first isolates all three HSI channels from the image and then converts them into grayscale, resulting in each channel having its unique monochromatic representation of the red poppies.
