Free online PNG to JPG image converter. Just drag and drop your PNG image here and it will be automatically converted to a JPG image. You can optionally lower the quality of the output JPG, as well as specify a color that will be used in the JPG image in place of transparent PNG pixels. Created by engineers from team Browserling.

This tool converts PNG images to JPEG images. As you may know, the PNG format is not a lossy image format but the JPEG format is lossy, which means it can achieve high compression levels by discarding some of the visual image data. When converting a PNG to a JPEG, you can set the compression percentage for the resulting JPEG image, ranging from 0% to 100%, where 0% indicates maximum compression level and significant loss of image quality and 100% represents no JPEG compression and maximum image quality. Additionally, PNG files support transparency, while JPEG files do not. In case the input PNG image has transparent pixels, you can control them by specifying a replacement color in the options (often it's simply white or black). Image-abulous!

This example converts a PNG file to a JPG file. As the original PNG file contains an alpha channel and has transparent regions, the resulting JPG file replaces this alpha channel with a dark shade of red. This substitution is necessary because the JPG format doesn't support transparent pixels at all, so a single solid color must be used in their place.
In this example, a PNG format image is converted to a JPG format image, with the quality setting equal to 0%. The quality of 0% means that the tool is using the highest possible compression level, which results in a significant reduction in image quality. The output JPG image has a pronounced loss of details and clarity, as the compression algorithm sacrifices image sharpness in favor of achieving a smaller file size. (Source: Wikipedia.)
In this example, we convert a PNG image of a tabby cat to a JPG image and set an optimal compression value. As compression and quality are reverse quantities, then as set the quality value to 70%, the compression is set to 30%. This value provides a good balance between the quality and file size. The resulting image maintains a satisfactory level of visual detail while efficiently minimizing the file size. To put it in numbers, the original PNG image has a size of 835 KB, whereas the resulting JPG image weighs only 88 KB. (Source: Pexels.)
