This free online tool lets you convert base64-encoded data to a WebP image. Just load your base64 string in the input editor, and you'll instantly get a WebP file in the output editor. The tool accepts the encoded base64 data in various formats – it can be a continuous string, chunked multi-line text, or a Data URI. Created by team Browserling.

With this online tool, you can convert base64-encoded strings into WebP images. Converting base64 to WebP involves two steps: first, as the base64 format is text-based, it's converted back into the original binary data, and then this binary data is rendered as a WebP format image and displayed on the screen. The most common use case of this tool is quickly viewing base64 data without manually decoding it yourself. To get a WebP preview, simply paste the base64 string into the input editor. The encoded base64 data can be a single string, or text split into multiple lines, or a Data URL with a valid "image/webp" MIME type. In addition to this tool, we've also created the reverse tool Convert WebP to Base64 tool that allows you to get a base64 string from a WebP image. Webp-abulous!

In the input of this example, we load a lengthy base64-encoded string to see what it contains. The program automatically processes it, detects that it contains a WebP sticker of a cartoonish snail on a transparent background, and displays it in the output editor. (Source: Wikipedia.)
In this example, the input is base64 text that's split into multiple lines with 36 characters per line. To decode it, the tool concatenates the lines and runs the base64-decoding algorithm on it, converting it into binary data. Then the tool decompresses the binary data, treating it as a WebP format file, and in the output, we get the well-known Mastercard logo. (Source: Wikipedia.)
In this example, we convert a base64-encoded WebP file of a green leaf, represented as a Data URL, back into WebP format. The program knows that it has the WebP format because it has the "image/webp" MIME type. The program extracts the pixels from the Data URL and draws it as a WebP image in the output editor.
