This is a free and fast online utility that flips BMP (bitmap) images vertically. Just load your bitmap in the input editor, reverse its pixels from top to bottom, and download the result as a new BMP file. Created by graphics designers from team Browserling.

This free online browser-based program vertically flips a BMP image along its horizontal axis. Every pixel row changes places with the row at the opposite side of the bitmap: the top row moves to the bottom, the second row moves just above it, and so on until the whole picture is upside down. Unlike rotating a bitmap by 180 degrees, a vertical flip keeps the left and right sides in their original positions. The operation also preserves the BMP's width and height. You can use it to fix an upside-down bitmap, reverse top-to-bottom orientation, or create unusual reflection effects. For a left-to-right mirror copy, try our Flip a Bitmap Horizontally tool. Bmp-abulous!

In this example, we vertically flip a BMP photo of a ladybug crawling on a blue surface. Before the flip, the ladybug was moving upward, but now it's moving downward. As a vertical flip changes only the top and bottom, the left and right sides of the bitmap remain unchanged. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we vertically flip a BMP image of a mountain reflected in a calm lake. The mountain and its reflection in the lake switch places: the reflection moves to the top of the bitmap, while the real mountain moves to the bottom. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we vertically flip a BMP sprite of Big John's energy blast from Metal Slug 4. The mechanical launcher moves from the top of the image to the bottom, turning the downward-firing blast into an upward-firing one. (Source: SNK.)

We're Browserling — a friendly and fun cross-browser testing company powered by alien technology. At Browserling, we love to make people's lives easier, so we created this collection of online bitmap tools. Our BMP tools have the simplest possible user interface and work directly in your browser without downloads or installations. You can use them to edit bitmap images, change BMP bit depth and colors, resize bitmaps, create transparent BMPs, work with bitmap pixels and byte arrays, and much more. Behind the scenes, our bitmap tools are powered by our web developer tools that we've created over the years. Check them out!
