With this browser-based application, you can round a clock time up, down, or to the nearest time unit. You can select the rounding precision in the options and round the time to 5, 10, or 30 seconds, 1, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes, or 1 hour. You can switch between the rounding methods with a single click and get instant results in the output. Created by computer nerds from team Browserling.

This is a quick online utility for rounding clock times. If you have a list of clock times or timer values in the format hh:mm:ss, then sometimes you don't need these exact values but you need rounded approximate values. For example, you may want to round the seconds and leave just hours and minutes values (hh:mm:00), or you may want to round the minutes as well and leave just the hours values (hh:00:00). To correctly drop seconds and minutes from the time, you need to use the right rounding mode and precision. This program supports the rounding precision to 5 seconds (resulting in hh:mm:s0 or hh:mm:s5), to 10 seconds (resulting in hh:mm:s0), to 30 seconds (resulting in hh:mm:30 or hh:mm:00), to 1 minute (resulting in hh:mm:00), to 5 minutes (resulting in hh:m5:00 or hh:m0:00), to 10 minutes (resulting in hh:m0:00), to 15 minutes (resulting in hh:15:00, hh:30:00, hh:45:00, or hh:00:00), to 30 minutes (resulting in hh:30:00 or hh:00:00), and to 1 hour (resulting in hh:00:00). There are three rounding methods: "Round Up", "Round Down", and "Round to Nearest". The "Round Up" method will always find the next closest time unit. For example, a time "04:15:36" will turn into "04:15:40" (with a precision of 10 seconds). The "Round Down" method will always find the previous closest time unit. For example, a time "04:15:36" will turn into "04:15:30" (with a precision of 10 seconds). The "Round to Nearest" method will find whichever time unit is the closest. For example, a time "04:15:36" will turn into "04:15:40" (with a precision of 10 seconds) and a time "04:15:34" will turn into "04:15:30" (also with a precision of 10 seconds). Timeabulous!

In this example, we round the given clock times up. We use a precision of ten seconds, which means that each time rounds the second part up to the next nearest 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 00 seconds.
This example rounds a bunch of times down to 1 minute. As a result, the seconds component of each time becomes zero and the minutes component is rounded down to the previous lowest number. This example also adjusts the clock times which have the minutes and seconds parts exceed the maximum value of 59 minutes or seconds (that is, it works with excessive clock times).
In this example, we round several timer values to the nearest hour. When the rounding is performed, the minutes and seconds components disappear and only the rounded hours' values are printed to the nearest whole number.
In this example, we round three clock times up to 5 minutes. This rounding precision returns two time formats: "hh:m5:00" or "hh:m0:00".
In this example, we select the rounding precision of 15 minutes and switch to the round-down mode. As a result, the first time is rounded to 15 minutes, the second to 30 minutes, the third to 45 minutes, and the fourth to 00 minutes.
This example rounds each timer to the nearest half an hour. If the minute's value in the timer is less than 15, then the minutes are truncated to 0. If the minutes are from 15 (including) to 45 (not including), then they become 30. If the minutes are greater than 45, then they are truncated to 0 and the hour value is increased by 1h.
