With this browser-based application, you can change the format of any clock time. You can turn all clock formats into nice 12-h or 24-h time formats, add/remove padding to/from hours, minutes, and seconds values, convert a clock time to the military time, spell out a clock time, convert time to seconds, and fix weird and chaotic time formats. This is a quick online utility for formatting a clock time. For example, if you have a bunch of clock times in 12-hour format and you need them to be in 24-hour format, then you can almost instantly perform this time formatting operation. Or, if you have a short time format (such as "1:2:5") and you need to get fully-padded time (such as "01:02:05"), then this conversion also can be done very quickly. To change the time format, paste one or more clock times into the input field of this utility (put one clock time per line) and then simply select the new output clock format in the options. As soon as you do that, you'll get all the input values converted to the new format. Optionally, you can also enable/disable hour, minute, second padding, which makes sure each time component uses two digits (instead of "3" you will get "03", etc). In addition to 12-h, 24-h, and short and fully-padded time formats, you can also get a clock time written in words (for example, "2 hours and 3 minutes"), a military time (for example, "0203"), and time in seconds format (for example, "7380" seconds). If none of the formats suit you, you can create your own time style by switching to the "custom" format mode. When this mode is active, you can specify a time pattern in the option using the abbreviations "hh" for hours, "mm" for minutes, and "ss" for seconds. For example, the pattern "hhh~mmmin~sssec" will turn the input time into this format: "1h~2min~3sec". In addition to choosing the clock format, you can also work with excessive hour, minute, and second values. For example, a time "28:00:00" is called an excessive time as the hours value exceeds the regular clock maximum value of 24 hours. When working with such clock values, you can convert them to regular time using several options. If you select "regular time" then "28:00:00" will be formatted as "04:00:00" in the output (because 28 hours on a clock is the same as 24 hours plus another 4 hours). If you select "time with a day count", then it will print "04:00:00 (+1)". Here the value in parentheses indicates the number of days elapsed. If you select "single day time", then you will get "00:00:00" in the output as formatting stops at end of the day (midnight). Finally, the last option is called "non-regular time" and it will not try to normalize the hours, minutes, hours values, and it will print the same "28:00:00" in the output. Timeabulous!

In this example, we prettify a bunch of clock times. We select the 24-hour format "hh:mm:ss" and activate the padding option so that each time component – hours, minutes, and seconds – had full two digits. We also select the regular clock formatting strategy for excessive clock times, so that all times in the output are limited to 24 hours.
In this example, we load several times in different formats and turn them all into military time. The military time format consists only of merged and zero-padded hours and minutes "HHMM". The seconds part in military time is dropped.
In this example, we convert times with excessive hours, minutes, and seconds values to a regular clock time. The maximum value for hours is 23hr, for minutes it's 59m, and for seconds it's 59s. We display the excess time as elapsed days in parentheses (every full day is 24 hours).
In this example, we convert five different clock times into spelled-English format. We turn off the padding option and also allow the time to go beyond 24 hours (non-regular time formatting strategy is active).
In this example, we create a custom clock time format. We output only the hours and minutes and surround them by vertical bars. As "ss" isn't used in the format, the seconds are discarded and not used in the output.
You can pass input to this tool via ?input query argument and it will automatically compute output. Here's how to type it in your browser's address bar. Click to try!
