This tool decodes data that was previously converted from the CSV format to base64. While base64 is well-suited for embedding in documents and data transmission, it's nearly impossible to edit, as it uses the base64 encoding, which mixes up the original CSV data. This conversion tool restores data that was previously base64-encoded to its original CSV format. Values in the output CSV file are comma-separated, allowing for easy viewing, editing, and analysis of the information. Additionally, the decoded CSV file can be imported into spreadsheets for further data manipulation. The program works with both continuous and multiline base64 (which is divided into chunks). It can also decode data URIs (also known as data URLs) with a special base64 prefix and a MIME type equal to "text/csv". If you need to encode CSV data into base64, you can use our Convert CSV to Base64 tool. Csv-abulous!

In this example, we're working with base64-encoded data containing a CSV file. To see what information the encoded CSV contains, we decode the input data back to the human-readable CSV format. As a result, we see that this data represents restaurant reviews, including the restaurant name, city, country, and average rating on a scale of 1 to 5.
In this example, we decode fragmented base64 data with a data URL prefix (also known as a data URI prefix with a MIME type) into clearly readable CSV data. After decoding, we obtain information about various animals, including their speed and habitat. The output CSV data is easy to read and edit and can be further explored by importing it into Excel, Google Sheets, or other programs that support the CSV format.
You can pass input to this tool via ?input query argument and it will automatically compute output. Here's how to type it in your browser's address bar. Click to try!
