In this example, we transform XML data into JSON data. The input XML contains a single tag "color" with the contents "red". As a result of the conversion, the "color" tag becomes a key in the JSON object, with "red" as its value. We also use spaces for indentation, with two spaces per indent level.
This example converts bulky and unformatted XML with multiple elements containing weekday definitions into simple and understandable JSON. The program discards the XML meta tag containing the XML version and character set used at the beginning of the data and turns just the XML elements and their values into key-value pairs of a JSON object. For better readability, it formats JSON using tab indentation.
