This online tool converts rows of Tab Separated Values (TSV) data into columns. It takes each row from the input table and writes its cells downward in the output, turning row-based records into column-based data. For example, a TSV table with 4 rows and 3 columns becomes a table with 3 rows and 4 columns. This is useful when values are arranged across the page, but you need them listed down the page for easier reading, comparison, or further processing. Cell order is preserved during the transformation: the leftmost value in an input row becomes the top cell of its new column, the next value is placed below it, and the rest follow in the same order. Before the rows are converted, the tool can ignore comment lines marked with a prefix such as "#" or "//". Empty rows are also removed automatically. If some rows do not contain enough values to align with the others, the tool can fill the missing positions with blank cells or a custom fill value from the options. Tsv-abulous!

This example takes a short TSV list of games and changes its layout from row-based records to column-based records. The input lists each game on its own row with player count and play time next to it. After conversion, Chess and Cards become separate columns, and their players and time values are placed underneath.
This example converts two TSV rows into columns. One row lists Pokémon names, and the other row lists their base HP values. The input also includes two comment rows that start with "//", and these notes are skipped before conversion. In the output, each Pokémon name is paired with its HP value in a separate vertical column.
In this example, we convert a TSV podcast planning sheet from rows to columns. Each episode starts as a single horizontal row, and after conversion, it becomes a vertical column in the output. Some episode rows have missing planning fields, so the converter fills the gaps with the custom value "tbd" to keep the converted TSV aligned.
You can pass input to this tool via ?input query argument and it will automatically compute output. Here's how to type it in your browser's address bar. Click to try!

We're Browserling — a friendly and fun cross-browser testing company powered by alien technology. At Browserling, we love to make developers' lives easier, so we created this collection of online TSV tools. Our tools have the simplest user interface that doesn't require advanced computer skills and they are used by millions of people every month. Behind the scenes, all our TSV tools are actually powered by our programming tools that we created over the last couple of years. Check them out!
